A Furry Tale

Hopping Down the Bunny Trail
At DD Pro Imaging we love photographing children. Especially when they come with fun holiday outfits. For this particular shoot we got baby Ariana ready for Peter Cotton Tail.

With three photographers handy, we made sure we captured every angle of this adorable bunny. The end results were exactly what we hopped, I mean hoped for.

The fun did not stop there, it usually never does. Once we got the bunny shot that Ariana's mother requested, we decided to use some of the outfits we have at the studio, one being a little mermaid .

Being sensitive to Ariana's needs we then gave her time to rest before she swam away. Once she was ready to shoot again, we came up with the idea to cradle Ari. All in all this baby was a pleasure to work with and we hope she chooses to model with us again.

Thank you Nicole and Ariana, we hope to see you again soon.

Bridal Transformation

A Bride's Darkside

At D&D Pro Imaging when we think of a bridal shoot, we focus on taking a somewhat overdone and boring concept into something much more imaginary. Of course we can capture a more traditional image, but why stop there?

With make-up artist Madi Doonan on board, we went from classy bridal, to trashy bride almost instantly. One of our jobs as photographers is to present an interesting image by turning a simple idea into a complex creation.

We don't only deliver what you want, but we give you so much more. The more options, the better.

Love Stories

"Love is a force more formidable than any other. It is invisible - it cannot be seen or measured, yet it is powerful enough to transform you in a moment, and offer you more joy than any material possession could." - Barbara de Angelis

At DD Pro Imaging we focus on many types of shoots and videos. But at the end of the day our main focus is love. We love to capture two people in love who want to share it with the world, or even just between themselves. In the past years we have been invited to many weddings to shoot the memorable day for all of our couples. On such a day it should be more about the intimate moment with your friends and family, thus allowing the photographers to worry about the little things. Enjoy our favorite photos that represent love, passion and relationships.

We would like to thank all who have invited us to their unforgettable day. May your love for each other last a life time.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY from  DD Pro Imaging !!!

Lit up Leopard Lids

A Little Paint Makes a Girl What She Ain't
Makeup Artist: Madi Doonan
Yesterday in the studio, our new photography intern Ginaya Greene captured the process of what a makeup transformation can do. Upcoming makeup artist Madi Doonan had her friend Haleigh model some of her fun leopard eyelids. Having little experience modeling before Haleigh was a bit shy at first, but once the makeup was on she let her inner animal roar!

One of the most important pieces of advice Ginaya offered while doing the shoot, was to let the art speak for itself. When makeup is fun and funky there is no need for colorful backdrops or dramatic lighting, the makeup is dramatic already.

Ginaya used different lighting and prop techniques to express the ferocity of the makeup. By simply using things around the studio, she was able to really bring the shoot to life!

Snowy Lights with Ginaya

Snow White

Last weeks photo shoot consisted of mother natures kind gift, 1 foot of snow!! David utilized this opportunity and took the shoot from the studio to the roof. On the roof he managed to capture Ginaya in a natural state with the surroundings.

Luckily Ginaya brought her wintery white fur coat which was essential. Granted she used the fur coat for her own purposes "warmth", the contrast between the snow and the white coat are slim to none. But against the brick the snow and her coat pop out and creates the main focus of the frame. Thanks to Ginaya though we did get some great shots and was well worth the brutal cold and snow.

Back in the studio where it was warm and dry David was able to capture some great shots. Soft, surreal  and sensual the three main words to describe the feel of the shoot. There were various techniques used to achieve such photos. First is the fact that Ginaya is super comfortable in front of the camera which is very important in photography. When a model is comfortable and willing to explore we reach great shots. Second lighting and visual objections are also very vital to photography. For the shoot we placed the beauty dish light behind a large fan and this created shadows and depth. Lastly is visual wholeness, when releasing the shutter you must visualize what the shot will look like.

I forgot to mention that Ginaya is an aspiring photographer as well and comes into the studio weekly to master the skill of photography and modeling. Like she says "The way to achieve greatness is to be knowledgeable from both in front and behind the camera".
